Facts about Hamilton College – Enrollment – Admission
ShareShareShareShareShare

Location: Hamilton’s 1,350-acre campus is located on a hilltop overlooking the protected and picturesque village of Clinton, N.Y. The School is eight miles southwest of Utica (pop. 65,000), 45 minutes east of Syracuse, one hour from the Adirondack park to the northeast, 90 minutes west of Albany, three hours from Niagara Falls, and 4 hours from Boston or New York Metropolis. (Take a digital tour of campus, plan a go to, or meet us on-line!)

Namesake: Alexander Hamilton, U.S. statesman, first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, member of the primary Board of Trustees of the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, lent his face to that $10 invoice in your pocket, and inspiration for the Broadway musical Hamilton.

Our Motto “Know Thyself”: We don’t count on college students to reach at Hamilton already understanding themselves or with their paths mapped out. In actual fact, that discovery is a part of the faculty expertise.

Acceptance Price: 11.8% of candidates have been accepted to the Class of 2027 (see profile)
