USC’s School of Social Work jumped 11 factors U.S. Information and World Report’s 2024 Finest Faculties for Social Work rankings. The school now stands at 51 total, an 11-point improve from 2022 and is the primary social work program within the
state, based on these nationwide rankings.
“Our faculty has made outstanding strides, advancing by 11 factors in simply two years.
I’m extremely pleased with the progress we have achieved,” stated Dean Teri Browne. “We have
targeted on a number of key areas, from elevating our educational requirements to strengthening
college contributions in important scholarship. This success displays our collective
dedication and dedication to social work training.”
South Carolina has a scarcity of social staff and with three program areas inside
the state, new college and an elevated neighborhood presence, Browne believes the long-term
effort has superior the faculty’s educational standing and initiatives.
“Whereas we’re pleased with this rating achievement, we’re not pausing our momentum,”
stated Browne.
