Harvard neighborhood members, some holding indicators calling for the discharge of hostages held by Hamas, gathered on the steps of Widener Library Monday night throughout a memorial vigil co-hosted by Harvard Chabad and Harvard Hillel. The occasion was held to “honor these misplaced and stand collectively in solidarity, unity, and hope” on the one-year anniversary of the terrorist assault by Hamas on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. Audio system supplied prayers and shared tales about pals who perished or have been taken hostage. Some sang songs in reminiscence of misplaced family members.
